Social Action

Working for justice in our world is a principal way for UU’s to express their faith and deepen their spirituality.

Over the years, Lake Fellowship has supported People Serving People (homeless shelter), Project Off Streets (support for homeless teens), Minnetonka area Rake-a-thon, Kids Against Hunger (worldwide food-aid), UU Affordable Housing Partnership, which has morphed into the Minnesota UU Social Justice Association http://www.muusja.org/ and the UU Service Committee www.uusc.org.

The Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations has a proud legacy of social justice work http://www.uua.org/socialjustice/index.shtml.  To view UUA statements bearing witness to the world on issues of social justice, see www.uua.org/documents/uua/socialjusticestatements.pdf.
